PerfectMail 3.6.5 Maintenance Release

A maintenance release of PerfectMail will be made next week between Monday February 25 and Wednesday February 27. This release implements spam filtering improvements and improvements to website probing and analysis.

Web Referral Spam Improvements

We have made some big improvements in our catch rate with Web Referral Spam. Our website analysis engine is new and improved, with better website crawling and intent determination. We have also made improvements to our profiling engine to aid in catching minimalist web referral spam.

User Interface Improvements

Our user interface is getting a face lift. We are working our way through our code to make improvements and usability enhancements.

WhoIs Tool Reminder

This version of PerfectMail has a tool to perform WhoIs lookups using the whois and rwhois protocols. This protocols use TCP port numbers 43 and 4321 which will have to be opened on the firewall to allow the WhoIs tool to function properly.
